The photography competition ”HERITAGE” is public and open to all professional photographers and photography enthusiasts. The competition is not territorially limited and everyone older than 18 years of age can apply. The approach to the subject is free, but the basic ideas of the competition have to be respected.

Every author can send an unlimited number of applications, and each series of photographs on the given subject has to contain between 10 and 15 photographs. A financial aid has to be paid for each series applied.

A participation fee of €30 applies to each submission (€20 for Fotoklub members). Photographs must have been created no earlier than 2020. Images may be in color or black and white. Signatures, watermarks, or borders are not allowed. AI-generated or digitally manipulated images using graphic tools are prohibited. Each submission must include a short description. 

The photographs for upload have to be:

• 3000 pix on the longer side max
• saved as a JPEG file, quality 10 (100%)
• photographs have to be without logo or frame
• the size of the photographs cannot be more than 4mb
• Photos must not be older than the year 2020.  

A registration fee of 30 €  must be paid for each application. (Photo Club Split members: 20€ ).

By submitting, the photographer confirms they are authorized to participate in the “HERITAGE” competition and will respect the rules regarding authorship, ownership, moral and copyright rights, the rights of depicted persons, names, trademarks, and other artistic works in the images. No additional permissions or conditions are required for publication. By participating, the photographer grants the organizers the right to use submitted images for promoting Split Format [social media, website, promotional videos, press releases, exhibition catalogs, and printing for exhibition].By participating, the photographer also confirms that submitted images do not infringe third-party rights; all depicted individuals consent to the stated use, and no personal data rights of third parties are violated. All works must be free from third-party claims and intellectual property issues. Organizers reserve the right to disqualify entries that may violate these rights at their discretion.

The jury will award the following prizes:

• one first award, monetary value €600
• one second award, monetary value €400
• one third award, monetary value €300

There will be an exhibition for the winners of the festival which will mark the opening of the Split Format Festival 2025.

By entering the "HERITAGE" photography contest and uploading photographs, the author consents to the organizers collecting, processing, and storing personal data for the purpose of conducting the contest and organizing exhibitions. The data will be used for identifying photographs and for notifications about contest results, exhibition openings, and awards to authors. Collected data will not be forwarded to third parties.
