The lecture talks about the sociological, philosophical and aesthetic understanding of photography, its ability to evoke the power of our imagination and the cultural influence that is larger than the one that can be marked with a visual language. The lecture also talks about the tendency in contemporary photography that, in the context of mass production, stands for the “slow death” of the rule of the three, and the rule of the golden cut, as a basis of art in photography, leaning as needed on the “participation of the watcher” as an active participant.
