Duška Boban: Where is Split in the Mediterranean?

Duška Boban will speak about photographs of the spatial and identity points in the city which, even though they are alienated from the public, still bear witness to their Mediterranean lifestyle and nautical orientation. These are several neglected monuments with different protection statuses: the complex and gardens of Vila Dalmacija, the modern building of Dalmacijavino in the harbour, and the shipbuilding and nautical legacies presented in the recent exhibition of the author, Amorella- the floating city.

Duška Boban’s photographs are a starting point for a discussion on the possibilities of valorisation, representation, and revitalisation of the motifs photographed in order to strengthen the Mediterranean hallmarks of Split.
